Moore Family Winery is located in the Red Hills District of the Lake County AVA. It is a family owned and operated estate created to celebrate the terroir of Lake County, California. Steve and Robin Moore purchased 70 continuous acres to establish an organically farmed vineyard which yields intensely flavored fruit to its finely crafted “new world” wines. Steve spent his childhood summers in Lake County, a tradition he has passed on to his grandchildren. Moore Family Winery reflects of the love and devotion within a family that created a vineyard and winery from the ground up.

Moore Family Winery’s tasting room opened to the public in 2007. With its 360 degree views of Cobb Mountain, from almost 3,000 feet in elevation, it offers not only a welcoming place to taste world class wines, but a landscape utilized for concerts, weddings and picnics. The picturesque views offer guests a bit of Lake County serenity as they take in the pristine forestland that surrounds the property.

Each bottle of Moore Family wine tells a story. The label is a symbol of the Moore’s determination in creating an organically farmed estate and world class wines. Having survived a forest fire over a decade ago, the Lone Pine symbolizes strength and perseverance. In the light of the full moon, it stands tall, like a silent guardian over the vineyard. On the back label you will find a constellation of stars, each star symbolizing a family member…each year, there seems to be more stars in the sky above Moore Family!
